Set up with an objective to improve the logistics infrastructure of the country, facilitate cross-border trade and promote international trading. As a deemed foreign territory FTWZs ensure faster turnaround by reducing custom related formalities and prove to be beneficial for both the importers and the exporters, as these zones are designed to reducelabour cost and tax related expenditures.

FTWZs allow for activities like warehousing, trading and value added services such as packaging. labelling, re-invoicing, CKD and SKD assembly, cutting, polishing, blending amongst others to be carried on in its infrastructure.
